Joshua Liebman has worked in the fashion industry as an editor and stylist for 15 years. His knowledge, talent, and intention inform his work, which is often a study in reinterpreting classic styles.
Why I Got Involved:
I wanted to get involved in this project for a lot of reasons, but the main one was my 4 year old niece. I want her to grow up in a society that values love and compassion, that understands that by helping you, I am helping me, a society that breaks down the illusion of separation of an “us” and a “them”. I want her to love who and when she wants freely and with abandon. I want her to be a scientist and a rabbi and a warrior and a teacher. I want her to feel the security that can only come with being herself. The best way I know of to do that is to foster self-esteem, to live without the insecurity that breeds intolerance, to know that she can reach up and touch the very stars, and that the stars will bend in awe and touch her right back. I wanted to get involved because In one life is the whole world, and the whole world is in one life.
